Psalms of Lent “Windows to the Psalmist’s Soul”
The psalms come to us without some particular agenda or theology. Each arises in a particular historical context and comes to us straight from the psalmist’s heart. Some are carefully crafted for use in worship–others seem to be almost spontaneous cries of praise or pain.

We’ll be looking at the psalms appointed by tradition for use in the season of Lent (year B). As we study them we’ll hear our ancestors in faith speak of their struggles and triumphs and perhaps discover amazing common ground.
