Special Event: Loneliness and Christianity with Rev. Dr. Colleen Windham-Hughes – April 13

with presenter Rev. Dr. Colleen Windham-Hughes,
Associate Vice President for Mission and Identity
at California Lutheran University

Loneliness has been called a public health crisis. Recent research suggests that it is helpful to think of loneliness like we think of hunger or thirst—as a sign to get our attention and prepare us for action. Christian faith gives us two types of action to respond to loneliness: 1) connecting with others and 2) cultivating aloneness with God. We will explore both types of action in our time together, with large group exploration and small group breakouts to go deeper into opportunities to serve and to grow.
