SAINTS AND SINNERS
Saints and Sinners is a popular “Small Groups” fellowship program at Living Water which is active in February and March. Each small group consists of up to 15 people; both singles and couples. The purpose of Saints and Sinners is to build and foster relationships among the church family. All are invited to join and can sign up in January. -
CHURCH PICNIC
The Living Water Lutheran Church Annual Picnic is usually held in the fall at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. Check out our weekly Connections for updates! -
ADVENT DINNER
This is a great opportunity to celebrate the season of Advent together. -
BRIDGE
The Living Water Bridge Group meets on the third Friday of each month (except December) at members’ homes for an evening of fellowship and social bridge. Established in 2006, this group consists of different levels of bridge players. Substitute players are occasionally needed, and newcomers are always welcome. This group has about 14 members and looks forward to welcoming additional bridge players. Contact Jill Wehr for more information. -
FRIDAY MORNING CLUB
Who puts together the weekly bulletins for Sunday worship services? Who puts together the special bulletins for Lent, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas? Who checks the sanctuary for organizing the welcome pads, the change for change jar, the children’s bulletins, and the lesson scripture? Who keeps the kitchen tidy, watches for necessary supplies, and keeps the Narthex in order? Who inserts scores of small candles into drip protectors for the Christmas Eve candlelight services? Who loves their work and continues to do what they can to help LWLC? Who is always willing to assist in helping Living Water run smoothly? THE ANSWER TO THE ABOVE QUESTIONS IS THE FRIDAY MORNING CLUB. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this special ministry. Would you like to join us? Contact Julie Ann Walker -
SUNDAY MORNING HOSPITALITY
This ministry team coordinates refreshments on Sunday mornings to create a pleasant setting for members to connect with each other and to welcome visitors. These refreshments generally consist of donuts and other treats plus beverages such as coffee and juice. This team also organizes special Sunday morning potluck brunches in conjunction with the Christmas and Easter cantatas and arranges for festive cakes to celebrate confirmation, graduation, and other special occasions. Contributions to this team’s free-will donation basket help defray hospitality expenses. The core team in charge of hospitality welcomes volunteers from throughout the congregation who are willing to occasionally lend a helping hand. For more information contact Carol Gasser.
