The Playground is completed today on June 12, 2009. Thanks to the work of the McGaugh Family and the Smith Family, we have a wonderful new playground. The photos below depict the first test of the playground and it seems to be acceptable by the initial testers.

When we awarded the bid to Adolfson Peterson Construction Company in January of 2009, it was agreed that they would start in early February and complete the building on May 13th.  This was an aggressive schedule but they said they were up for it.  The building was delivered to Living Water with occupancy on May 13th as promised.  There were a few little odds and ends (mostly extras that we had requested) that were done in the few weeks following.  Overall, Adolfson Peterson Construction was a pleasure to work with as will be agreed by all that came into contact with them from Living Water.  We will provide an update with specific names of people involved with the project just prior to the Building Dedication which will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2009.  

The first official use of the building (other than nursery which opened on June 7) will be the Bible School for 2009 which will be a record year for attendance.  Next year we can even plan for greater numbers for that event to fully use the expanded space.

On July 12, the building will be open for viewing, the playground will be completed, the property landscape will all be updated and the Church will be certainly "Bound for Greater Things".

Less than one month remains to building completion!  The exterior stucco has been applied, the elevator is in, the walls of the second floor interior are being put up.  Lot's of little details yet to be covered in the next month, but the project is in great hands with A&P on site manager Pete.  Great time to watch this progress for this next month.

The Landscape work in front of the Church continues.  The committee has worked hard to complete this project before Palm Sunday.  Friday, the floral area around the fountain was planted by the "Friday Morning Club".  The outdoor furniture that was selected by Carol Jacobson and Bonnie Moore was delivered and set up on Thursday, April 2nd.  The remainder of the Landscape committee, Dave Hutchinson, Mark Thompson and Jack Kifer have been working diligently on the new plantings, rock accents, trees and more.  It looks great and we know that the members will enjoy this for some time to come.

As the building is completed, the next phase will be to complete the playground and our Committee of the Smith's and the McGaugh's will be selecting the items and placing the order for delivery early this summer.
